Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, the parent company of US cargo operators Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo, has appointed Michael Barna as its new senior vice-president and chief financial officer, replacing David Lancelot who resigned in September.

Claus Glusing has been promoted to become managing director of Hapag-Lloyd, the in-house carrier of German tour operator TUI. The former head of flight planning and control will be responsible for the flight operations and marketing functions at the carrier. Hapag-Lloyd board chairman Wolfgang John remains as head of finance, IT, accounting and customer services.

Bertrand Grabowski has been appointed a member of the board and managing director of Germany's DVB Bank with responsibility for its Aviation Finance Division.
