Orbital Sciences' Fairchild Defense unit has recorded and reproduced digital reconnaissance-imagery with its high-speed solid-state recorder on a Lockheed Martin F-16. The recorder can store 54 gigabytes of imagery at 249 megabits/s, with real-time editing and read-while-write capability.
