Danish regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has bought seven ATR 42s from the manufacturer's portfolio.

Announced today at the Farnborough Air Show, the deal marks the fourth agreement between the companies in the last 10 months.

NAC founder and chairman Martin Moeller cites stable values and the turboprop revival as the rationale behind the deal. "We are looking forward to expanding our fleet further with the acquisition of additional aircraft and financing further ATR aircraft deliveries."

ATR chief executive Filippo Bagnato says he "aims to further increase this co-operation in the near future".

Privately-owned NAC has 137 aircraft on lease, including 82 ATRs, making it the largest ATR lessor in the world.
