Embraer has built the first 98- to 108-seat 190 regional jet fuselage, a derivative of the 70-seat 170, due to be certificated this year. Embraer was to receive on 3 October the first Kawasaki-built 190 wing, assembled at Kawasaki's factory at Gavião Peixoto in Brazil.
