Flir Systems (Hall 2, Stand B17A) has confirmed its position as a leader in the airborne broadcast performance industry by securing its first order in Europe of the Ultramedia HD System (UMHD). Arena TV will use the aerial camera system which boasts an effective 84x magnification and offers higher resolution for use in broadcasting and the film industry.
The UMHD's reliability is based on third generation gimbal design and makes it a top choice for safe flight operations. It is also hermetically sealed to protect the payload, therefore providing all-weather performance.
Says Richard Yeowart, managing director at Arena TV: "In addition to providing the ITN and Sky News helicopter services, we film hundreds of events in both the UK and Europe. FLIR's products have been instrumental in allowing us to push the boundaries of aerial filming."
The deal with Arena follows a series of orders for the UMHD by companies based in the US.
