Bombardier Flexjet has established a secondary service area for the Caribbean, removing ferry fees for fractional owners flying in and out of the region, covering the Greater, Lesser and Netherlands Antilles, Trinidad & Tobago, and Bermuda. The programme will become effective from 1 February. A round-trip from New York to Bermuda on a Challenger 604 will be $10,000 cheaper.

French investigators have found that a Cessna 525A Citation departed Paris Le Bourget after personnel failed to realise nose-gear maintenance was incomplete, forcing the jet to return for a gear-up landing.
Textron Aviation now says it will exhibit at this month’s NBAA business aviation exhibition in Las Vegas, reserving course after last week backing out of the event amid a machinists strike in Wichita.
Textron Aviation’s machinists walked off the job on 23 September after members of the 5,000-strong work group voted down the company’s proposed new employment contract. The Wichita-based aircraft manufacturer, which owns the Cessna and Beechcraft brands, confirms that workers represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM) went on strike. ...
