Boeing and lead system integrator team mate SAIC have picked the first batch of 15 partner companies for the US Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) programme. They include BAE Systems for air and ground platforms communications, Lockheed Martin for level 1 sensor fusion, Northrop Grumman for logistics decision support, network management, air sensor integration and training support and Raytheon for ground sensor integration and battle management. The companies will lead around 70 companies in the system integration phase of the $15 billion FCS effort.
