Computer reservation system Galileo International is to seek a flotation in the US to provide funds to buy three of its distribution companies, Traviswiss, Galileo Nederland and US-based Apollo Travel Services. Galileo will buy Apollo from United Airlines, USAirways and Air Canada for $700 million. British Airways will sell 45 per cent of its 14.65 per cent holding in Galileo as part of the offering.
