GlaStar performs better than predicted

Stoddard-Hamilton's GlaStar kitplane has exceeded performance predictions in its first 50h of flight testing, achieving a 135kt (250km/h) cruise speed and 1,200ft/min (6m/s) sea-level climb rate on a 125hp (95kW) Teledyne Continental engine. The horizontal tail has been extended, rudder enlarged and aileron cusps removed to improve stability.
