Hong Kong and the Czech Republic have signed an air services agreement allowing for the first direct flights.
Although direct flights are not expected to be launched anytime soon, Sandra Lee, Hong Kong's secretary for economic services, says the agreement is an "important milestone in our aviation relationship with the Czech Republic".
"It provides a legal framework for the establishment of air links between Hong Kong and the Czech Republic," she adds.
Hong Kong now has air services agreements with 48 partners.
