Honeywell has opened the show with news that it has won contracts worth $1.3 billion.

The customers include General Electric, EasyJet, Continental Airlines, Embraer, Airbus and Boeing, with a range of avionics packages, engine controls, auxiliary power units (APU), wheels and brakes and maintenance services.

The largest deal is a $728 million agreement with EasyJet to deliver a variety of products for 120 Airbus A319 aircraft, with options for a further 120. The package includes avionics suites and APUs, including a 10-year APU maintenance agreement, engine controls and wing anti-ice valves.

Variety

A $290 million contract with GE covers the supply of pneumatic products for the GE-Pratt & Whitney Engine Alliance GP7200 engines on the Airbus A380, including an air turbine starter and assorted valves. Honeywell will also supply accessories and valves for GE's CF6-80C2 engines for the US Air Force Lockheed Martin C-5 transport.

Further wins include a $115 million wheel and brake services agreement extension through to 2013 for more than 350 Continental Airlines aircraft; a $100 million contract to provide Primus Epic integrated cockpits to Embraer for 100 EMB190 aircraft; and £30 million contracts with Airbus (ozone converters and satellite communications system for the A380) and Boeing (next generation weather radar for the C-17 Globemaster and avionics for the Boeing 707-300).

Bonanza

Honeywell will also supply China Aviation Supplies Import and Export Group with Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS) for 300 aircraft.

A final deal to supply a variety of avionics for Lockheed Martin's F-35 Joint Strike Fighter completes the bonanza.

Bob Johnson, Honeywell Aerospace's president and chief executive, says: "These new contracts demonstrate that major companies believe in Honeywell's ability to add significant value in an increasingly competitive and global aerospace market."
