Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems has signed an $8million contract with Yokogawa Electric Corporation for the first year of production of its programmable display generator (PDG) for Japan's F-2 fighter, it was announced at the show.
Shipset deliveries are expected to continue over the next 10 years, beginning with first deliveries in 1998.
The deal announced is for production start-up, initial PDGs, together with test equipment and support.
The F-2 is an F-16 derivative fighter aircraft being built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Lockheed Martin for the Japanese Defense Agency.
