Hughes buys Itek
Hughes Aircraft intends to buy Itek Optical Systems from Litton Industries. The company, which makes precision optics and electro-optical systems, is located in Lexington, Massachusetts. No terms for the proposed purchase have been disclosed. Hughes Aircraft plans to consolidate Itek with Hughes Danbury Optical Systems.
