The newly formed British Human Powered Flying Club is calling for entries to its 28 June-6 July rally at Lasham airfield, Hampshire. The event, which will feature competition and technical workshops, follows the Icarus Cup events in 2012 (at Lasham) and 2013 (Sywell aerodrome, Northampton), organised by the Royal Aeronautical Society, which will not be holding a 2014 human power meet. Expected entries for the Lasham meeting, where the BHPFC will hold its first general meeting, include 2012 Icarus Cup winner Airglow, aircraft from Bath, Sheffield and Southampton universities and well-known human powered flight enthusiast John Edgley.
