Jeff Campbell is taking over from Tom Horton as chief financial officer (CFO) at American Airlines. Campbell has been with American for 12 years, serving as vice-president Europe since early 2000. Horton is leaving after 17 years with the carrier to become CFO at AT&T.
Industry veteran Donald Garvett, who has time at consultants SH&E, Pan Am and Air Florida on his résumé, has been named vice-president of planning at Alaska Airlines responsible for planning and revenue management. He was most recently executive vice-president of strategy and planning at South African Airways.
