Moravan Aeroplanes of the Czech Republic has sold six Zlín Z-242L aerobatic trainers to a state-owned flying school in India, under a recently signed contract valued at around $1.4 million. The aircraft will delivered in the next eight months. "All aircraft have been customised, and are instrument flight rules equipped," says Moravan aircraft sales manager Viktor Zimcík.
A contract worth over $240,000 for spare parts, engines and propellers will kick in after delivery of the second Z-242L, says Moravan, which hopes to secure orders from two more training institutions in India.
