Kollsman's (Hall 2, A4) work in the field of enhanced vision technology has won it a major award for innovation. The company has been presented with the Frost & Sullivan 2004 Technology Innovation Award for its All Weather Window Enhanced Vision System (EVS).
The EVS system uses a special infra-red (IR) sensor to give the pilot a clearer picture of the view ahead.
