Turkish charter start-up Inter Airlines has taken delivery of the first of two Boeing 737-800s on lease from GATX Air. Based in Antalya, the carrier will operate charter flights between Turkish and European destinations. Its second 737-800 will arrive later this year. The carrier is owned by Turkish tour operator Birce Tours, which plans to operate principally on behalf of a group of Dutch and German companies. Inter becomes the sixth Turkish operator to fly the Next Generation 737. More than 50 are now operated in the country.
