Some of the best pictures taken of the 'century of flight' have appropriately ended up in the Flight Collection.

Whether it is a picture from the early days of the pioneering Wright brothers or the equally innovative Airbus with its A380, the Flight Collection has it.

Kim Hearn, who is responsible for managing one of the most wide-ranging aerospace image collections outside the Smithsonian, is at Asian Aerospace to promote the availability of pictures now that the library is on the Internet.

"We have more than 5,000 images on there and have nigh on one million more still to go," says Kim.

"I think people will be impressed. Pictures range from civil to military, helicopters and many general subjects, including airports and passengers.

"The collection is made up from the archive of Flight International magazine and leading aviation photographers.

"If a customer can't see what they require, they can still contact us and request a more detailed search."

Visitors to the site (www.theflightcollection.com) will see thumbnails and be able to search.

Show visitors and exhibitors can see Kim on Stand A321 and get a full demo and a password to try out many of the other features associated with the library.
