Alenia Spazio's exhibit features its Sicral, Cosmo SkyMed and Galileo programmes.

Sicral is the first Italian system for military satellite telecommunications, developed for the Sitab consortium.

Cosmo SkyMed is a satellite constellation for environmental observation and consists of four satellites equipped with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) that can be integrated with the optical satellites of France's Pleiades constellation.

The dual-use (civilian and military) Cosmo SkyMed will be used for territorial monitoring and the control of environmental disasters such as floods and landslides.

Alenia Spazio (Hall 3, E7-E8) is also member of the Galileo Industries consortium that is developing the new European programme for satellite navigation.

The company is also involved with the Cassini-Huygens interplanetary probe, which has just arrived at Saturn.
