The Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) has reached initial operational capability with the US Air Force, following completion of development testing of the final component, the training information management system. All JPATS components are in place at Moody AFB, Georgia, where two student classes have completed training on the Raytheon T-6A Texan. The unit reached full 250 pilots a year capacity in mid-July. The USAF plans to take delivery of almost 400 T-6s by 2009.
