Oliver Bootz of Korry Electronics is dancing with delight on news that the Seattle-based company has won a $3 million contract to supply avionics to the Russian Federation. The company will produce its commercial KDM-340 Korry display module for the Tupolev Tu-154and Tu-204 and the Ilyushin Il-62.
Under the agreement, Korry will manufacture and deliver its display units to Aeropribor-Voskhod in Moscow through Nexel Enterprises, Korry's exclusive trading partner for Russia, CIS and East Europe. Delivery is scheduled to begin in December 2002 and run through to December 2005
The KDM-340 is a high-resolution, full-colour display module that will replace cathode ray tube units in the cockpit. Aeropribor-Voskhod will incorporate the advanced display modules in aircraft instruments for new and old Russian-made commercial aircraft.
