Chile’s LAN Airlines has contracted Goodrich to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and asset management solutions for its fleet of International Aero Engines V2500-A5-powered Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.

Under the terms of a 12-year agreement, Goodrich’s Alabama Service Center will refurbish thrust reversers on a scheduled basis and provide MRO services for inlets and fan cowls as conditions dictate.

Additionally, Goodrich will supply on-site spares as part of its “Aircraft On Ground” support package.

Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Goodrich notes that by 2008, LAN will have 33 V2500 engines in its fleet. This number is projected to grow to 42 by 2017.
