The first customer-completed Lancair Legacy high-performance kitplane has flown. The all-composite aircraft was built by Lancair chief engineer Carsten Sundin, and is the first of 150 kits sold so far to have been completed. Powered by a Textron Lycoming IO-540 driving a Hartzell two-blade propeller, the two-seat, retractable-gear Legacy cruises at 250kt (460km/h).
