Russian financial holding company Leader Group is in talks with OAO Tupolev, controlling shareholder of the Russian aircraft builder, over stepping in as a major investor in the Aviastar aircraft factory following the departure of Novoye Sodruzhestvo in a row over management and financing. The potential investor may team with Sirocco Aerospace to revive troubled Tupolev. Leader intends to invest $168 million in the plant.
