Ukraine is supplying three customised Antonov An-74 passenger aircraft to Libya's government following an order from the Arab north African state.

All three twinjets feature a VIP cabin and Ivchenko Progress D-36 turbofans, installed on pylons under the high wing.

The first An-74TK-300, built under co-operation between state-owned airframers KSAMC in Kharkov and Kiev-based Aviant, was handed over to the customer in May.

Engine manufacturer Motor-Sich's chief, Vyacheslav Boguslayev, says the other two An-74s, in identical configuration, should be fitted out and delivered by the end of this year.

Ukraine's Ukreximbank and the country's ministry of industry are understood to have provided guarantees covering the deal.
