Ducommun subsidiaries AHF-Ducommun and Aerochem have been awarded an $85 million contract from Lockheed Martin to continue producing the external and internal components and exterior skins for the Space Shuttle's external fuel tank.

The US companies have been suppliers to Lockheed Martin's external fuel tank programme since the 1970s. The latest contract runs through to 2006.

AHF-Ducommun has also received an $8 million contract from Lockheed Martin to produce hydrogen panels for the Space Shuttle external fuel tank until 2006. Both contracts cover the next 60 Space Shuttle external fuel tanks.
