Malaysia pact

Russia and Malaysia have signed a bilateral defence co-operation agreement, which includes training and manufacture of unspecified Russian-designed military equipment. The agreement, signed in Kuala Lumpur on 6 April by Malaysian and Russian defence ministers, follows a similar agreement, signed when Malaysia purchased 18 MiG-29 fighters in 1994.
