Surrey Satellite Technology (SSTL) is negotiating a possible technology-transfer programme with Malaysia, involving the joint development of a series of small Earth-observation, science and communications satellites. The work was discussed with Dat' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Malaysian prime minister, during a visit to SSTL on 23 May.
