The government of Malta and Spanish operator Helicopteros del Sureste plan to relaunch a daily helicopter service between Gozo and Malta from 21 March in an effort to boost its tourist industry. Around 20 flights a day are planned between the Mediterranean islands during peak season and eight daily flights during the rest of the year. The previous operator, Malta Air Charter, ceased operations at the end of October after reporting successive losses.
