-US passenger/cargo charter airline Omni Air International has taken delivery of a McDonnell Douglas (MDC) DC-10-30 from Lufthansa, which is operated by charter subsidiary Condor. The aircraft will join Omni's fleet of two DC-10-10s and one -30, and a second ex-Condor DC-10-30 will arrive in June.

-Boeing won orders from 11 customers for 128 aircraft in December. Previously unreported orders include three 737-300s from Boullioun Aviation Services; one 737-800 and five Rolls-Royce RB211-powered 757-200s from Continental Airlines; one R-R RB211-powered 757-200 from American Trans Air; one General Electric CF6-80C2-powered 767-300ER from Britannia Airways, and an order from an undisclosed customer for two 737--600s. Boeing has also confirmed the sale of two ex-Philippine Airlines CF6-80C2-powered 747-400s to South African Airways, and the firming up by TWA of its commitments for 50 Boeing 717s.

-Delaware based Genesis Aviation has acquired eight ex-Airborne Express YS-11 freighters from Medco.

-Airbus secured 53 orders from five customers in December, with previously undisclosed deals, including four CFM International CFM56-powered A320s for US Airways and six A320s for an undisclosed customer. The recently announced Boullioun deal for 15 A319s and 15 A320s is also included in the December tally.

-SAM Colombia has ordered and taken delivery of two Cessna 208B Caravans, as has Air Saint Martin of Guadeloupe.

-Cayman Islands-based IAMG has arranged a deal to place two ex-Malev, Stage 3 hushkitted Boeing 737-200Adv with Vanguard Airlines on five year leases from GE Capital Aviation Services. The aircraft will be delivered in January and February, and are among eight the airline plans to take on lease during 1999.

-UK cargo airline MK Airlines has added an ex-Arrow Air MDC DC-8-63 on lease from International Air Leases.
