MDC prepares for F-18 antenna testing

McDonnell Douglas (MDC) has mounted a full-scale model of the US Navy's F-18E/F fighter on a 14.6m tower for antenna-integration testing, to begin this month. The 3,900kg aluminium model with production radome and canopy, was built by Virginia based Advanced Technology. The first F-18E/F is to be flown in December.
