DAIMLER-BENZ Aerospace (DASA) board member and aircraft group president Hartmut Mehdorn is to leave DASA in October, say German press reports.
The reports say that Mehdorn is leaving the aerospace industry to take over as chairman of the board of printing press manufacturer Heidelberger Druckmaschinen.
DASA describes the reports as "speculation". Heidelberger Druckmaschinen also declines to confirm the reports, although it is looking for a successor to its retiring chairman.
Persistent rumours of friction between Medhorn and other senior DASA executives have dogged him recently.
