The BBA Group has completed the acquisition of Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG) for $137.9 million. It gives the UK-based company additional ground handling and refuelling operations in North America, Europe and the Caribbean. Seton House Acquisitions is to buy aircraft seating and interiors specialist Britax International in a deal worth £441 million ($622 million). Seton is a new company controlled by a group of Britax executives. US-based Reliance Aerotech has bought Saab's maintenance subsidiary Celsius Aerotech. Celsius has facilities in Nashville, Tennessee and Teterboro, New Jersey. Alcatel's €795 million ($679 million) acquisition of Thales' 48.83% stake in Alcatel Space has been given approval by the European Commission. Airborne Systems has bought Irvin Aerospace for £17 million. Irvin supplies military parachutes and related air and naval products.
