Meteosat takeover
Control of Europe's operational Meteosat 5 and 6 weather satellites was transferred from the European Space Agency's (ESA) Operations Control Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany, to the Eumetsat organisation's new control centre, also in Darmstadt, on 20 November.
