MIG MAPO has unveiled the combat-capable variant of its MiG-AT jet trainer at MAKS '97. The MiG-ATC, the second prototype to be built, has already been flown. It is capable of carrying a variety of air-to-air and air-to-surface weaponry including laser-guided bombs. The MiG-AT will be fitted with the Phazotron Moskit lightweight multifunction radar, with some officials suggesting that the second prototype has the radar already fitted. MAPO MIG has completed three prototypes.
