BAE Systems has signed up a second North American Jetstream 41 material and component repair and overhaul (MACRO) customer, St Louis-based Trans States Airlines.
A code-sharing partner with US Airways, Trans States will have its 25-strong Jetstream 41 fleet covered by MACRO from late July.
The programme is designed to provide Jetstream operators with a fixed maintenance service that includes comprehensive spares support for a single fixed rate per aircraft flight hour.
The programme has clocked up 320,000 flight hours, offering complete coverage on 47 Jetstream 32s, 70 Jetstream 41s and 36 ATPs.
"A large number of our regional aircraft customers have chosen to outsource their rotables and materials management into our programme," says David Speirs, BAE Systems' senior VP for American support.
More than 70% of the world Jetstream 41 fleet is now covered by MACRO.
