US maintenance provider StandardAero has entered into exclusive negotiations with Airbus for the acquisition of Canada-based Vector Aerospace.
Airbus says the proposed sale is subject to workers' council consultation, the signing of definitive agreements, and "customary approvals" such as regulatory clearance.
Vector specialises in maintenance support of turbine engines, components and helicopter airframes for civil and military customers.
Airbus says the MRO provider generated revenues of $705 million in 2016 and employs approximately 2,200 people in 22 locations across Canada, the USA, the UK, France, Kenya, South Africa, Australia and Singapore.
