Despite the sombre atmosphere at this year's National Business Aviation Association convention in Orlando - held during the anniversary of the terror attacks on the USA and amid continuing economic uncertainty - the show was not short of news. Bombardier, Gulfstream and Raytheon all rebranded their ranges. Cessna followed Eclipse and Maverick into the personal jet market, and the fractional sector continued its expansion, marked by a record 200-plus aircraft order from NetJets. With heightened security fears around 11 September, restrictions on business and general aviation flights remain a concern, with some operators claiming Transportation Security Administration discrimination.
