Honda Aircraft has signed up for Universal Avionics' cockpit voice and flight data recorders (CVFDR) as optional equipment for HondaJet business aircraft.
The new CVFDR meets emerging requirements for cockpit voice and digital flight data recording presented by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the newest Federal Aviation Authority technical standard order, said Universal.
The product is available in five configurations and supports an internal recorder independent power supply (RIPS) option, which provides a back-up power source in the event of a main power fail, the company added.
