Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways has disclosed that it will end its flights to Perth in Australia and Edinburgh in Scotland on 1 October, "as part of an ongoing review of network performance".

The service suspensions are among "several adjustments that we are making to our network in 2018 in order to improve system profitability", adds Etihad.

It stresses its commitment to the Australian market, noting that it will continue to serve Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and likewise highlights that UK airports London Heathrow and Manchester remain in the Etihad network.
