Iranian carrier Mahan Air is to expand its European network with new services to Russia and Ukraine.

The airline says it plans to open a new route from Tehran to Moscow next month.

Its reservations system indicates that a weekly service to the Russian capital’s Vnukovo airport will begin on 14 January.

Mahan says it will follow this with a Kiev service from February.

It adds that it is to increase its network to cover more European and Asian destinations over the summer. It opened flights to Munich, Milan and Athens earlier this year.
