Philippine Airlines (PAL) will suspend its thrice-weekly Manila-Abu Dhabi services from 8 July onwards.

The carrier says the suspension is being made as it "undertakes route assessment initiatives."

Earlier this month, PAL also announced the suspension of its Cebu-Los Angeles services on 30 May, as part of a capacity rationalisation.

FlightGlobal schedules data shows that the airline competes with Etihad Airways on the Manila-Abu Dhabi route.
