Ex-fighter pilot Francis da Cunha is putting his experience to good use by developing a new breed of flight simulator.
Flightline's (Stand E420) mission rehearsal device uses high quality images taken from satellites to give users a more authentic picture. The user can modify the conditions of their ‘flight' with a choice of different weather conditions and degrees of cloud cover.
The system also allows the user to control their movements via a joystick because, as Flightline chief executive da Cunha says: "It is what pilots do during a real flight anyway."
The system consists of two computers, a mini cockpit, projector and joystick.
