Airbus has embarked on the hot-weather testing campaign with the A350-1000.
The Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-powered twinjet departed Toulouse on 4 July bound for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.
Al Ain has previously been used to test new Airbus aircraft in hot-weather conditions.
Meteorological data for the airport shows that local daytime temperatures have been reaching 47C.
Middle Eastern carriers including launch customer Qatar Airways and Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways are among the customers for the type. A total of 211 A350-1000s have been ordered.
Airbus had assigned the cabin-equipped MSN65 to conduct the hot-weather testing.
One of the other two flight-test aircraft, MSN71, has previously been used to perform hot-fuel system tests in the UK as well as cold-weather testing in Canada.
