Airbus has completed the hot-weather testing of its A350-1000 in the United Arab Emirates.

The airframer says it wrapped up the testing on 7 July after three days in Al Ain.

Airbus sent its cabin-equipped test aircraft, MSN65, to the location in order to undertake checks on system behaviour, "with a focus on the cabin", it states.

These tests included cooling performance while the aircraft was stationed on the ground.

"The aircraft successfully cleared all the set parameters, demonstration its maturity and readiness to operate in scorching weather conditions," says Airbus.

Qatar Airways is set to take delivery of the first -1000 by the end of this year. Airbus has secured orders for 211 of the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-powered twinjet.
