The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) has completed the preliminary design phase on its C919 narrowbody jet, and has embarked upon the detailed design phase.
Comac aims to wrap up the detailed design phase in 2012, it says. This is the second Asian Aerospace that Comac is attending, following its establishment in 2008.
It has won up to 100 orders for the C919, which it announced at Airshow China in Zhuhai last November. Comac aims to conduct first flight in 2014, followed by entry into service in 2016.
