Crane Aerospace has been selected by Honeywell to provide the brake control system for China's Comac C919 airliner.

Under the contract, Crane will assist in the integration of the system, which includes SmartStem passive, wireless tyre pressure sensing technology and a brake temperature monitoring system.

"This marks a major strategic step for Crane into the rapidly emerging commercial airplane market in China," says Mike Romito, aerospace group president of Crane Aerospace & Electronics.
