Air China in September posted an 11% increase in passenger traffic and a 23% rise in cargo traffic.
RPKS in September rose 11% year-on-year with increases of 11% for domestic, 10% for international and 27% for regional. Air China's regional figures refer to traffic from Hong Kong and Macau.
In real terms, total passenger traffic rose 13% to 3.31 million.
Regional passenger numbers rose 38% to 97,000. There was a 12% rise in domestic passenger numbers to 2.75 million and an 11% increase in international passengers to 469,000.
Air China cut capacity on international routes by 0.6% but overall ASKs rose 10% because domestic ASKs rose 17% and regional increased 26%.
This meant the passenger load factor on international routes rose 8.3 percentage points to 83.3%.
Regional passenger load factor remained virtually unchanged, an increase of 0.2 percentage points to 67%.
The passenger load factor across Air China's entire network only increased 0.8 percentage points because domestic passenger load factor dipped 3.7 percentage points to 73.2%.
In terms of cargo, Air China had a 23% rise in revenue freight tonne kilometres (RFTKs).
Regional increased the most, rising 59%, followed by domestic and international which increased 27% and 20% respectively.
