One of Air Littoral's fleet of 15 Aero International (Regional) ATR 42-500s crashed just short of a motorway on 30 July after running off the runway during a landing at Florence's Peretola Airport in Italy. The aircraft, on a service from Nice, France, crashed through a perimeter fence and into a motorway barrier. The two pilots were badly injured, but none of the 14 passengers was seriously hurt.
